WHILE THEY TALK
LET’S FOCUS ON OUR WALK
There is a place that we must come to in our mind and spirit where we no longer worry about those who put their mouth on us. It is vital to understand that we ONLY have CONTROL over US. We can weigh ourselves down worrying about people who speak down about us because they really are down about themselves. Someone whose spirit is sabotaged will desire the same for others whom they think are happier than they are. We, as people, want others to esteem, approve, validate, and understand us even when those people are not tied to our purpose or destiny. We often times start picking up the control and playing the game right along with them. They call us out our name and now it is a battle of words. I look, laugh, and thank God for revelation now because if I don’t give them any bait then they can’t bite. People are entertained when someone is entertaining them.
It is easy to focus on a statement made especially when it pertains to us, but we must be mindful that what we give our attention to is what will eventually rule our spirit. It is necessary to be at our most optimal level mentally and spiritually in order to succeed in this life. Our focus can be thrown off by chatter and that can cause us to miss out on our cycle of blessings. I Thessalonians 5:17 says to pray without ceasing. The reason God gave us instruction to do so is because he knows that the devil is after those who have been called to do a great work in the earth realm.
Words are very powerful, and so God had to give us a weapon because he already knew the angle the enemy would use his Emps to come for us. We must be fully aware of what we are allowing to fill our ear gates and drop into our spirit man.. What goes in the airways from the lips of others can affect us and our children if we allow ill words spoken to take root in our heart.
There is a way to disconnect from the opinions and negativity spoken on us and over our life. It’s simple and once we can take hold of this truth we will no longer be robbed of peace by being concerned about what others say about us. God has said many things about us. He has given us many promises to look forward to. He has a plan and purpose for our life.
Jeremiah 29:11 —-
(For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”)
Let’s start believing these things concerning our life. Let’s start focusing on what the Lord has said about our life. We are what we believe! As the New Year approaches, let’s shift our mindset and regain focus of the things that matter the most.
